Allied's Commitment to Employee Health and Wellbeing

 

In today's fast-paced world, the concept of security extends beyond protecting physical assets. We perform at our best, at work and in our personal lives, when we are cared for and focus on our mental, social and physical well-being.

We're proud to invest in our most valuable asset - our dedicated team, by providing free health and wellness services for all staff members. Our security officers are the foundation of our business, and prioritising our employees' health and wellness is a vital aspect of our company culture.

Our Health and Wellness Manager:

Dave Cheyne is our Health and Wellness Manager who provides free counselling and health and wellness services to the Allied Security team and their immediate families across Australia and New Zealand.

Dave is passionate about all things health, from the inside out. He was born in Sunny Southland in New Zealand and eventually moved to Dunedin to complete his Bachelor of Physical Education. Fun fact: While Dave was studying he first started working for Allied Security as a security officer for bars and events! 

On a monthly basis, Dave completes over 120 sessions for staff and their families, covering a broad range of services to help them reach their health and fitness goals. Dave is committed to helping our staff sleep better, eat better, move better and feel better.

Our Health and Wellness Services include:

  • Counselling
  • End-stage rehabilitation for back, knees, shoulders, hips etc
  • Weight loss programmes
  • Gut health programmes
  • Personal training
  • Helping staff sleep better, eat better and move better so they can live happier healthier lives
  • Improving staff and their immediate family over all health and wellness by teaching staff how to look after their bodies so that they can stay safe, well and thrive in their home and family lives as well as at work

It is our mission to make these services easily accesible and confidential for each staff member. Our ongoing commitment to the well-being of our workforce means we regularly assess and enhance the support and services we provide. This ensures that the appropriate assistance is readily available for all our employees whenever they may require it.

We believe that by investing in our team members' well-being, we're creating an environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance.  This, in turn, promotes higher morale, greater job satisfaction, and increased productivity among our staff.
